Demons often seem very clever, but they're not really. They have a kind of knowledge that appears more valuable than it actually is, and their arrogance as a result of these simple insights blinds them, ergo it is very easy to trick them. Their greatest fault is that they have a tendency to lie in wait, you know, like a serpent, and they believe that the ability to clearly discern the little black spots in us gives them some kind of advantage, that they could easily overtake us if we come too close to them, but their knowledge of our secrets isn't an asset, not at all. They mistake us for beasts, like they are, because of our more horrible traits, and forget that our species despite the weight of these dark stones, has thrived. We are, in every way, superior to these monsters, and this is most potently expressed in the accomplishments of the human mind, for example, ice cream.
